Community Meals of Blaine

Community Meals provides an opportunity for community members to connect with one another while enjoying a warm, nutritious meal.

Weekly dinners are served on Wednesday nights during the school year from 5:00pm to 6:30pm at the Blaine Community Center (763 G Street).

The meal is FREE, however donations are accepted.

EVERYONE is welcome to come and eat!

Blaine Christian Fellowship has a team in the serving rotation and serves 3-4 times per year.

Community Assistance Program (CAP)

CAP (The Community Assistance Program) is an outreach of Blaine area churches, providing community-based social services to residents of Blaine, Birch Bay, Custer, and Point Roberts.

CAP serves people who are in need of assistance in meeting their basic requirements for food, clothing, and other necessities of daily living.  Their programs include:  Crisis Assistance, Clothing Assistance, Community Meals, and Thanksgiving Baskets.

Blaine Young Life

The Blaine chapter of North Whatcom County Young Life meets every other Monday.  This is a national ministry reaching out to high school students.

The Whatcom County Pregnancy Clinic (WCPC) is a non-profit agency that desires to help and support men and women facing an unplanned pregnancy; to offer information on options; to equip teens for healthy relationships; and to help men, women, and families cope with the effects of abortion.

The Bridge At Birch Bay

The Bridge is a unique and expandable non-profit model for providing community services. It is purposely designed to facilitate unity within the community by bringing people together, bridging gaps, and meeting needs.  Community members connecting with one another through mentoring relationships will help promote stability, health, and wholeness where most needed. The ultimate goal is to bring real and sustainable change into people’s lives, and thus bring hope for a better and brighter future for the community as a whole.

We lead a weekly worship service with our brothers and sisters living at Stafholt Good Samaritan Center (a long term care facility in our community).

Rebound Blaine Roots Program

The Blaine Roots Program is an extention of Rebound of Whatcom County.  The program provides:

Parenting Classes:
Rebound’s Parenting Enrichment classes are for families that are facing difficult life circumstances and parents looking to develop family building skills. They offer support groups and supplemental educational classes on topics like financial literacy, parenting skills, and healthy living. Parents have the opportunity to connect on a deeper level with their families.  Classes are offered in English and Spanish.  Nursery care is provided

Kids Support Groups:  Rebound's Kids Support Groups are a safe and encouraging place for Elementary and Middle School kids who are facing difficult life challenges as a result of divorce, behavioral challenges, foster/adoption issues, emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, poverty and neglect.  Kids are taught the life skills necessary to understand, talk about, and cope with what is happening in their lives in healthy, positive ways.  Kids meet at the same time as parent groups.

The groups meet Wednesday nights and include a free meal.
